ISBN Request

UBC Library’s Discovery & Metadata Services team is responsible for assigning ISBNs (International Standard Book Numbers) for resources published by certain University of British Columbia departments and divisions. Please note that self-published resources, even if the authors are faculty or staff of the University, do not qualify for UBC-issued ISBNs.

These ISBNs act as unique, internationally recognized identifiers for publications of the University. 

If you belong to a Department, Centre or Affiliate in the list below, contact your department directly, as they assign their own ISBNs, UBC Library cannot assign ISBNs for these departments:
